Where did it all go wrong?

Act I: The Original Dimension

R1 did not begin as the silly wretch they are now. Originally, they were more of a "buzz kill" (their terms, not mine). They did not find enjoyment in slaughtering the citizens of Hell, but did it out of bare necessity. Gabriel (Not My OCSN Gabriel, but R1's) noticed R1's want to outlive their purpose. Pairing it with the fact that R1 was the largest threat to the Council's Will at the time, he diligently bonded with R1. After earning their trust, he ultimately backstabbed them and threw them into the Styx to die.

But HELL had taken a liking to R1 and was willing to make a deal. If they were to kill Heaven, R1 would have the ability to outgrow their need for blood. With Gabriel's betrayal fresh in their mind, they agreed. And so Heaven fell.

But as it turns out, being the last one in Hell as it slowly decays and falls apart is not good mentally. There is nothing to do, nobody to talk to, or any of the stimulants that often keep the human mind sane. And R1 has many, many human properties.

But more importantly, Hell requires entertainment.

The piece of Hell now fueling R1's survival with HELL ENERGYHell Energy is a power source in ULTRAKILL. Used by at least one Gutterman (Look at the "Mother, Mother, Mother of Me" poem found in 7-2 LIGHT UP THE NIGHT), and implied to be the primary power source of Earthmovers since they cannot use solar energy in Hell, it is the energy of Hell itself. For R1 to use it, Hell has gifted them a lieral piece of itself. is bored. And with this boredom comes a strong, incessant crave for violence. Without anything to satisfy such a crave, R1 took drastic measures that didn't do much to stop the gradual collapse of their mind.

And so they suffered, unable to die, or to live, but simply exist.

Act II: Other Worlds

When Hell finally did collapse, a wormhole was caused, sending R1 into another version of ULTRAKILL. Having been long starved of a bloodshed, R1 destroyed the place, and stayed as Hell rotted again, then went to another. This cycle repeated a few times, until they finally reached ours.

When R1 came here with the same intent, they paused to entertain a star headed angel in Violence named Emitri.Emitri is an OC by my friend, Donny. He is a little star headed Virtue with a humanoid form (for lore reasons), who resides in the Violence Library of Babel (7-S HELL BATH NO FURY). He is very anti violent. Emitri eventually subdued R1, convinced them not to kill him, and they soon started being... Gay...

Act III: The Now

R1 resides in the Violence Library of Babel with Emitri. They have a serious dislike for Gabriel, but otherwise surrenders their violent ways... Mostly. It turns out not being around constant violence and bloodshed can lower your craving for it.
